Your role
- Review contract documents and specifications for structural intent; identify inconsistencies and missing information
- Review structural work under construction and issue field review reports
- Review contractor shop drawings, RFIs, and related administrative tasks such as entry logs
- Issue construction documents such as site instructions or change notices in collaboration with the design team
- Schedule site reviews, monitor progress, and address site conditions or structural deficiencies
- Other related functions
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; specialization in structural engineering is an asset
- 1-3 years of experience in structural engineering with construction administration experience; contractor experience considered an asset
- Highly adaptable and flexible; able to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs and PDF markup software (e.g., Bluebeam)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; French language abilities are an asset
- High problem-solving capacity with professional and ethical approach
- Ability to understand and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Access to a vehicle for site visits (mileage and parking reimbursed)
- Security clearance required; new employees must obtain PSC level Secret Level 2, with potential future higher-level requirements

- Yearly salary: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience
