Your role

  • Review contract documents and specifications for structural intent; identify inconsistencies and missing information
  • Review structural work under construction and issue field review reports
  • Review contractor shop drawings, RFIs, and related administrative tasks such as entry logs
  • Issue construction documents such as site instructions or change notices in collaboration with the design team
  • Schedule site reviews, monitor progress, and address site conditions or structural deficiencies
  • Other related functions

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; specialization in structural engineering is an asset
  • 1-3 years of experience in structural engineering with construction administration experience; contractor experience considered an asset
  • Highly adaptable and flexible; able to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs and PDF markup software (e.g., Bluebeam)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; French language abilities are an asset
  • High problem-solving capacity with professional and ethical approach
  • Ability to understand and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Access to a vehicle for site visits (mileage and parking reimbursed)
  • Security clearance required; new employees must obtain PSC level Secret Level 2, with potential future higher-level requirements

  • Yearly salary: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience
