Jean-Michel Carrière, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., ing., CAHP

Jean-Michel brings a diverse set of skills to the firm’s senior leadership, focusing on managing and leading engineering teams across a wide range of project types through both design and construction phases. His extensive experience spans new construction, including reinforced concrete and structural steel, seismic retrofits, renovations, additions, building upgrades, structural reinforcing of existing elements, evaluation of structural distress, and construction administration, with a strong involvement in heritage structures.

He has served as Project Team Leader for notable projects such as 180 Wellington and the Lansdowne Park underground parking garage. Jean-Michel is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and Québec and a Professional Member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), where he has also served as Past President and director.

He actively contributes to professional and community initiatives, volunteering with the PEO, local universities, and heritage organizations including CAHP and the Association for Preservation Technology International. Jean-Michel joined the firm in 2003, became an Associate in 2009, Principal in 2017, and President in 2021. He was recognized in 2018 with the Forty under 40 award from the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and Ottawa Business Journal.
